In Memory of KIA President Bobby Greenley

WKR notes with sadness that the Kitikmeot Inuit Association just announced the passing of KIA President Robert (Bobby) Greenley. Bobby passed away early in the morning of Friday September 5, 2025, in Cambridge Bay, after a prolonged and brave battle with illness.

Bobby, elected as KIA President in December 2022, served in that role until his health forced him to take a leave of absence in March of 2025. Bobby lead the transition of the Grays Bay project from KIA to WKR, and remained a strong supporter of Grays Bay development as WKR became the proponent.

We are grateful for his vision and leadership, and send best wishes to the entire Greenley and Evalik families.
