Prime Minister Mark Carney again spoke to the national importance of the Port of Grays Bay following his meeting with Canada's Premiers this afternoon.
PM Carney committed that Canada will "work with provinces and other stakeholders and indigenous groups to identify projects of national significance, and accelerate the timeline to build them... One project, one review, it's time to build. Some examples include ... the Ring of Fire in Ontario, in partnership with indigenous peoples... Ports, like Grays Bay in Nunavut, which links down through the Northwest Territories and into Alberta, and the Port of Montreal."
