GNWT update on Arctic Security Corridor

NWT Deputy Premier Caroline Wawzonek provided an update yesterday on the Arctic Security Corridor and the work of the Government of Northwest Territories to connect the NWT to the Port of  Grays Bay.

Minister Wawzonek said that the territory also stands to benefit from a renewed focus on Arctic security, among federal officials in Ottawa.

"The extent that they're talking about Grays Bay, you're gonna need to connect that. And that's where the [South Slave Geological Province] corridor comes in — which happens to benefit our mineral resource industry in that region," Wawzonek said.
