WKR’s Kassidy Koaha-Laube joined Minister Rebecca Chartrand and Nunavut Premier John Main to celebrate a $4.5 million investment from the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency in the Grays Bay Road and Port Project.

Koaha-Laube said “Yesterday, during the “Doing Business Together - Regional Development Corporations” panel, David Omilgoitok shared that “Inuit should be involved in the big things.” And today’s announcement really reflects that. As someone from the Kitikmeot, it’s especially meaningful to see this kind of progress in my home region. It’s exciting to see things moving forward, and we’re really looking forward to continuing to work together to advance the Grays Bay Road and Port Project. Koana, thank you.”
