Grays Bay Major Works RFQ Released

WKR is pleased to announce a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the Major Works of the Grays Bay Road and Port Project. The RFQ solicits proposals from construction contractors and engineering firms on a Progressive Design Build (PDB) basis.

This is another major step towards construction of the Grays Bay Project. RFQ responses are due July 30, 2026. WKR anticipates annoucing shortlisted respondents on August 28, 2026, issuing a subsequent Request for Proposals in September 2026, and announcing a Preferred Proponent in March 2027.

Through a PDB model, the successful Design-Builder team will work collaboratively with WKR to advance the design and construction approach, refine scope, risks, and execution strategy, and develop an open-book Target Price to construct the project, which will inform WKR's Feasibility Study and Final Investment Decision, planned for 2028.
