This morning, the M/V Martin Bergmann returned to port in Cambridge Bay after her second sailing across the Coronation Gulf to Grays Bay in support of WKR's field programs.
In and around Grays Bay, WKR completed research on marine mammals and collected a wide range of environmental baseline data. Crews surveyed above the waves, and listened below using hydrophones.
Thanks to our Inuit Assistant Dylan Aknavigak, the Arctic Research Foundation, JASCO Applied Sciences, and Nunami Stantec Limited for their support in completing this work safely and effectively.
The video below was taken at Hepburn Island, just offshore the Port of Grays Bay site, by WKR's Environment Manager Gavin Law. It is a stunningly beautiful landscape, enjoy!
