Nordic Ambassador Panel

WKR Director Dennis Patterson spoke at a Canada West Foundation panel with the Ambassadors to Canada from Iceland, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland, moderated by Gary G. Mar. The discussion covered Arctic security, trade, and environmental issues.

Ambassador Nikolaj Harris spoke about Denmark's recent announcement of funding to build a new deep-water port in Qaqortoq in South Greenland, which will be a dual-use facility supporting both security and commercial vessels. Dennis Patterson noted the similarities to WKR's Port of Grays Bay, which will be a multi-use facility for the benefit of security, mining, and community users.
